From flying, ferries, and food, we got you covered!

Naples international airport (NPL) is the closest airport to Positano. If you are traveling around Italy you can fly into another city and take the train. Rome is the second closest airport and slightly cheaper than Naples. This is then a hour and a half train ride to Naples.

It is very easy to get to Positano either by car or ferry from Naples.
First the ferry. From the airport you would take a 15-20 min taxi to Port Molo Beverello - this is in the heart of Naples. From there you have many options on ferries and can buy your ticket there. Companies are NLG and ALILAURO and the trip is about 1:30-2:30 hours. We love the ferry and it is our preferred mode of transportation around the Amalfi coast. When we visited, we were supposed to get a car but they ran out of automatic (Olivia can't drive manual and Max just can't drive) and we found the ferry to be easy, convenient, and beautiful. There are 4 trips a day and it is 30 euros per person.
The second option is by car which is about an hour. This would be more expensive in terms of getting a taxi or driver. You can of course rent a car but we do not think you need a car while traveling around Amalfi. Parking may be difficult in Positano.

- Ristorante De Max: Our favorite restaurant
- Da Adolfo: Take a boat to a small beach for lunch and lounging. This is a must and our favorite place! Hard to get a reservation but have your hotel reach out.
- Franco's bar for a drink at La Sirenuse for happy hour
- Path of the Gods Hike: We did not do this but the maid of honor did. It is a beautiful 7-mile hike. You can do 3.5 miles and take a taxi back.
- Collina Positano Bakery for gelato
- Covo for casual pizza
- Da Gabrisa Restaurant & wine bar for a casual lunch
- Il San Pietro di Positano for a drink or fancier dinner
- Maestro's one of the best views
- Buca di Bacco for a cooking class
